![]() So, my main question here is: Is there a way to "recover" in the current 3.1.0 version, the values of the source field like in the previous 3.0. I need to recover this, because there are like A LOT of monitoring info from A LOT of computers. So, now, my source fields are like this: source=java.lang:type=MemoryĪnd my dashboards doesn't show info anymore, since I'm using the tags for that previous values of source, like "Area1" for myhost2, "Area2" for myhost2 and so on. ![]() Source=service:jmx:rmi://myhost2/jndi/rmi://myhost2:port/jmxrmiĪnd, since the update, as pointed out here:, now the source field from JMX connection string (e.g., service:jmx:rmi:///jindi/rmi://127.0.0.1:8888/jmxrmi) has changed to to JMX MBean ObjectName (e.g., ). In Splunk Web, navigate the Splunk Add-on for Tomcat either by clicking the name of this add-on on the left navigation banner on through your Splunk platform Home page or by going to Manage Apps, then clicking Launch App in the row for the Splunk Add-on for Tomcat. The thing is that, I had a lot of dashboards using tags for the values of the previous 3.0.2 version for the field source, like: source=service:jmx:rmi://myhost1/jndi/rmi://myhost1:port/jmxrmi I used to work with version 3.0.2 but I needed to make an update to the current version 3.1.0 due to my clients' needs. ***************Start to establish the connection.Ĭom.ConnectorException: ADMC0016E: The system cannot create a SOAP connector to connect to host at port 8879.Īt .AdminClientFactory.createAdminClientPrivileged(AdminClientFactory.java:632)Īt .AdminClientFactory.access$000(AdminClientFactory.java:123)Īt .AdminClientFactory$1.run(AdminClientFactory.java:206)Īt .(AccessController.java:63)Īt .AdminClientFactory.createAdminClient(AdminClientFactory.java:202)Īt WASTest.establishConnection(WASTest.java:1171)Īt WASTest.readSetupConf(WASTest.java:1412)Ĭaused by: Īt 0(Native Method)Īt (NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.java:56)Īt (DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.java:39)Īt .newInstance(Constructor.java:527)Īt .AdminClientFactory.createAdminClientPrivileged(AdminClientFactory.java:454)Ĭaused by: .exception.ConnectorNotAvailableException: Īt .reconnect(SOAPConnectorClient.java:409)Īt .(SOAPConnectorClient.java:222)Ĭaused by: Īt .(SOAPHTTPConnection.java:475)Īt .Call.WASinvoke(Call.java:451)Īt .$4.run(SOAPConnectorClient.java:381)Īt .(AccessController.java:118)Īt .reconnect(SOAPConnectorClient.java:366)Ĭan't establish connection! Please double check your login and trust file info.I'm having trouble with the Splunk JMX App. Also i have provided the admin userid and password in the was_nf file, what else can be missing. ![]() Have double checked the SOAP port and its using the defualt 8879. however i am able to work it out in an env where the security is disabled. Have you done this First you should verify with jconsole application from JDK if you can 'see' data before trying to collect it using the jmxpoller. I say majority because 2 out of 20 servers are working. I have followed the steps defined in this Splunk answers but have been unable to get JMX data working for the majority of our servers. ![]() First you have to activate JMX at your JVM. Monitoring of Java Virtual Machines with JMX - Issue getting this to work on the forwarders. Hi i am not able to configure the JMX to gather performance data on an environment where global security is enabled. Note: If you are migrating from the app, Monitoring of Java Virtual Machines with JMX, be sure to follow the migration guide. Hi, yes setting up this JMX was also a mess for me. ![]()
